Privacy policy
For the In Cahoots artist app and its founding artist list. Last updated 11 October 2026.
When you join the founding artist list, you give me a few details about you and your music. This page explains what I keep, why I keep it, and how you can have it deleted.
In Cahoots Group Pty Ltd ("In Cahoots", "I", "we") runs app.incahoots.link. I follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Questions go to Caitlin Reilly at caitlin@incahoots.group.
What I collect
Only what you type into the sign-up form:
- your name and email address
- your artist or band name
- roughly when your next release is
- your answer about the hardest part right now, if you give one
If you fill in the "Back In Cahoots" form instead, I collect your name, email, organisation if you give one, and anything you tell me about your interest.
This page doesn't use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or analytics. If that changes, I'll update this policy first.
Why I collect it
- To email you about founding artist spots and the app's progress.
- If you're interested in backing In Cahoots, to reply to you personally about it.
- To learn what independent artists need, so I build the right things first. Your answer about the hardest part is the most useful thing on the form, and I read every one.
I won't use your details for anything else without asking you first.
Who sees it
I do. If I bring in a contractor to help build or run the app, they see only what they need for that work, and they agree to keep it private.
I don't sell your details, and I don't pass them to labels, distributors, other artists or advertisers. The one exception is if the law requires me to share them.
Where it's kept
Your details sit in business accounts I run with these services:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this page and receives the form
- Klaviyo, where I keep the list and send emails from
- Google Workspace, for replying to you personally
Some of these services store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. I choose services with strong security, and I protect each account with two-factor sign-in.
AI tools
I sometimes use AI tools to help sort and summarise what artists tell me. Your details stay inside my own secured business accounts when I do, I use them only for In Cahoots, and they never go towards training public AI models.
How long I keep it
I keep your details while the founding artist list is open and for 12 months after the app launches. If you don't become a member in that time, I delete them. You can ask me to delete them sooner at any point, and I'll do it within 30 days.
Unsubscribing
Every email I send has an unsubscribe link. You can also email me and I'll take you off the list.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details I hold about you, correct them, or delete them. Email caitlin@incahoots.group and I'll reply within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, tell me first so I can fix it. If I don't sort it out, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
When the app opens to members, it will collect more than this form does, and I'll update this policy before that happens. I'll email everyone on the list when I make a change that affects them.
